Instruction

Effective Instruction Should Use:

Below I have provided examples of artifacts that highlight these qualities.

Artifacts

These artifacts below represent three different forms of assessments I have created during student teaching. Starting from the left, the first assessment is an essay assessment, that gives students an open opportunity to give their own opinions on The Odyssey: Part One. Giving students an opportunity to collect their thoughts into an organized essay is a way to gain everyone's perspective on what you are learning as a class and have them practice multiple writing standards. Next, there is a project assessment that I assigned to gauge students' knowledge on the poetry unit they had just finished.  The project creatively included each element we had learned in the unit and allowed students choice and creative freedom. Then finally, the two rightmost documents consist of a test formative assessment. One document is the original test created to test student's knowledge of The Odyssey and the other is an adapted version to fit the accommodations of a student with a specialized learning plan.

I made this video to highlight the importance of being "multiliterate," which is an important strategy for making sure you are diversifying your content as much as possible to reach every student.

Below, are some activities I have created and some content I have created. I cannot put any type of "Canva" activities or presentations on this website, but I am an avid user. If you would like to access my Canva projects, videos, and content presentations, please the button below!
